Safeguarding

Safeguarding is at the heart of our Christian faith and here at Spiritus we take it very seriously.  The Church of England works in partnership with other Christian Churches and agencies in delivering safeguarding.  In doing so, the Churches subscribe to the following principles, which, in partnership, the TEI also subscribes to.  Therefore, Spiritus is committed to:

  • The care and nurture of, and respectful pastoral ministry with all children, younge people and adults.
  • The safeguarding and protection of all children, young people and adults.
  • The establishing of safe, caring communities which provide a loving environment where victims of abuse can report or disclose abuse and where they can find support and best practice that contributes to the prevention of abuse.

You can find details of our safeguarding contacts below; please don't hesitate to contact then if you have any safeguarding concerns.  You'll also find some useful numbers and websites below which you can also get in touch with.  In the case of an emergency please telephone the emergency services on 999.

Our safeguarding policy is regularly reviewed and updated.  All of our relevant members of staff are appropriately trained.
